Titans Get Ready For League Play

Its been a rough stretch, but the the Mens Water Polo Team is still focused on getting back to the CIF Playoffs. The recent losses to Burbank Crespi and Hoover have shown the young Titan team that there destiny is in there own hands and that they are going to have to earn every part of that ticket to the playoffs. Even with injury and illness, players have progressed and are ready to start league play. Led by Capt. Alex Kang, So. Thomas Rogers and Fr. Eric Thedvt, the Titans are playing their final tournament of the season in hopes of smoothing those rough edges before the league opener at home against So. Pasadena this Tuesday.

San Marino got off to a great start in it's own tournament today. In the first game today, the Titans emerged victorious after a back and forth match. Led by the defense of Kevin Fong and Thomas Rogers, the Titans were able to grind out the 9-8 win.

Against Alhambra the Titans jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and never looked back. The Titan squad proved to be too much and used a balance attack to notch it's 2nd win of the day 21-1.

San Marino will play for first place on Saturday. There first match will be at 100p.

Titans Stumble against No. 5 Glendale after good start.

San Marino looked like they were ready to take a big leap forward playing Glendale, Ranked 5th in Div. 5, but could not keep pace with a strong Nitro Squad. Final 21-5. Read the story here.

San Marino to host Tournament This weekend

The Titan Water Polo will host its annual Varsity Tournament 9/15 - 9/17. The Titans hope to get back on the winning track on Thursday afternoon opening up against La Salle. The first game will be at 300p. You can view the tournament draw here .

The JV Squad will on the road at the Damien Tournament. They will the tournament at claremont HS. Their first match will be @ 440p agains Murrieta Valley. Good Luck to everyone this weekend.

SM Polo plays @ Mark Kepple today!!

There was some confusion in the rescheduling of our mark kepple game. We are playing mark kepple today at Barnes Park in Monterey Park. Varsity will play at 315p and JV will play @ 415p. I apologize for the mix up and any inconvenience.

Season Kicks off for Var. and JV Thursday.

The 2011 season kicks off this Thursday for both Varsity and JV teams. The Varsity squad will begin their march back to the CIF Playoffs at the El Dorado Tournament. They will open the tournament playing Saddleback HS @ 440p at Saddleback HS . The JV Squad, under new coach Alan Kang, will start their season hosting the San Marino JV Tournament. They will open up their season playing Alhambra @ 415p on Friday. Come out and see your Titans open up the 2011 season. You can view the brackets for each tournament below.
